...I have always said that DEATHWATCH was a blog FOR the members...and some of it should be BY the members. DEATHWATCH is currently accepting authors for the blog to write articles and things of that nature as I'm sure there are topics that I haven't touched that members would like to hear about and what better way to voice your opinions than writing what you want others to know. Of course there will be a slight review process in order to become an author but it won't be stringent. ***FRIEND OR FOE???***

...There is a multitude of members who would have you believe that longevity is your friend...I beg to differ...recently there was a very large and lengthy HYIP called LargeSum that crashed after lasting what seemed to be an eternity...and what do you know? It went down in flames taking everybody's money with it. What may seem to be a friend can easily be a foe. This is something I learned years ago and yes I learned the hard way and it cost me a lot of money to start getting it right, but the education was worth it. For serious investors risk is something that we understand and fully accept. In order to be a real investor you have to be mature in regards to risk...risk is all around us. Many attempt to discredit the HYIP market by saying that its not real investing and that its just gambling...but any investment is gambling even the ones that the vast majority consider to be real. Just because there's a regulatory body doesn't mean it's being regulated...I've traded stocks for years and still do so to this day and I can tell you from personal experience that the risk is sometimes greater than HYIP, you can lose thousands of dollars in minutes trading stocks. So all in all, don't think longevity is such a great thing when it comes to HYIP's...just consider yourself lucky that you had extra time to get out.

***DEATHWATCH NEEDS BILINGUAL SPEAKERS!!!***

...In an effort to make the DEATHWATCH blog more user friendly, I wanted to know if there were any members who would mind helping us out by volunteering to be interpreters. This would apply to those who were bilingual of course Spanish/English Italian/English French/English so and so forth. I think it would make the DEATHWATCH experience easier and allow us to have more continuity.

Often times there are questions posed to me that I can't quite understand because of the language barrier and there are questions that I answer that may not be received correctly.

As I said earlier there was bound to be someone who would attempt to copy DEATHWATCH in some facet. ...and then out of nowhere comes this supposed Anti-Scam HYIP Fighters Team...what a name right?. So low and behold I go to their thread on TalkGold and find that they have been flagged for having multiple I.D.'s on TalkGold in order to give themselves fake testimonials so that they could make their "team" seem like a good idea and persuade people to join. Not only that but the whole idea was simply LUDICROUS, an HYIP having to have their "seal" for members to invest in an HYIP?...As soon as I laid eyes on it I knew it was a scam...I wonder how many HYIP's would have bribed them for their "seals" so that they could get money from investors. You all should be aware of this type of thing. Who would have thought that the Anti-Scam HYIP Fighters Team was actually a SCAM itself...I DID. I'm sure there will be more to come and trust me when I say that we'll be watching. DEATHWATCH is the original...stay away from the fakes. I'm sure that moat of them will have ulterior motives.

Why did you stop investing in HYIPs?

I stopped investing in HYIP's a few months before I started DEATHWATCH, I have been successful over the years, but I am perfect by no means. I have lost money also, but my success outweighed my losses by a great margin. Also if I did invest in HYIP's it would be a conflict of interests. It would be highly unethical for me to be endorsing HYIP's for my own personal gain.

I continue to monitor them because I feel like its what the members need. There is nothing like DEATHWATCH in the HYIP market currently and no one has copied us as of yet and if they did it would be obvious. Also I felt like I could provide a valuable tool for those who needed it and who choose to use it. Obviously everybody doesn't see it that way and I can respect that, Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Even though I no longer invest in HYIP's, I do have some longer term investments, such as stocks(which I traded for a long while), bonds and some real estate. HYIP can be and is profitable if done right, make no mistake about it.

***HYIP WARS(PART 1) TALKGOLD VS MMG...WHO'S BETTER???***

TalkGold or MMG...which one to choose?...or is it both? Now presumably the majority of HYIP investors use both forums and this is a given...but which one is better?. Based on my experiences TalkGold seems to be a bit more flexible and really allows one to get their points across with minimal interference. The mods don't seem to be active to the point of dictating each and every single conversation, because as we all know, this can lead to severe miscommunication amongst members who are trying to convey their concerns...MMG at times can be a little too censored, and I can never seem to upload a profile picture but all in all I still think its a great forum. They're a little heavy on the advertising and it can be a bit annoying but I do think they're professional and in order for the forum to prosper advertising is a must, so I don't mind...but they could package it a little better, also the user interface has somewhat of a claustrophobic feel to it but I must commend them for being able to innovate in a market that fears change. What can I say, I'm a fan of the both of them and it's impossible for me to choose. I guess they both have different qualities that we all need and that we all can admire...so what do you all think?...are you just as confused as I am?

***WHO'S BEHIND YOUR HYIP???***

...Did you ever stop to wonder?...who's really running your HYIP?...who's pulling the strings?. I mean the names sound so common and unimposing...do they not? The scammers often use names that we're the most familiar with. My belief is as with everything else, they do this in order to make you feel comfortable and to make you feel like your money is safe. Addresses that lead to empty offices...phone numbers that lead to voice mails or sometimes nothing at all...track records that are impossible to validate...promises that are impossible to keep...returns that in most cases make no sense logically...but yet there are some who will defend the scam to the bitter end...even when they're not being paid anymore. I guess its a last ditch attempt to salvage some type of reasoning as to why this has all happened...that's why it pays to be out BEFORE the house falls. Nothing lasts forever, I don't care how many bells and whistles it has. I was reading on a forum and was saddened to see a member hyping up a virtually unknown HYIP making the comment "I'm going to invest with this one and I hope you all join me because the design is nice"...Investors should have better reasons for joining the HYIP's that they do...but the question remains...will we ever know who's on the other side of the screen?...

Let me start by saying THANK YOU to all those who have joined DEATHWATCH and support its cause. DEATHWATCH is not about ME, its about the MEMBERS AND WHATS BEST FOR THEM. They come FIRST and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to protect them and make sure that they make the most of this uncertain investment opportunity that we call HYIP.

It is my understanding that there are numerous anonymous members and I think its GREAT that they are members PERIOD, but I must urge all the anonymous members to switch to PUBLIC members and I ask the same of those who are considering joining...why?...because I think the more of us...the better, there is strength in numbers and I can't make it any simpler than that. A large group of public members is A SHOW OF FORCE and its lets these scamming admins know THAT THE MEMBERS OF DEATHWATCH MEAN BUSINESS. DEATHWATCH is young...but its STRONG and I'm simply amazed at the showing of support I've seen thus far.

If there is anything I can do to make DEATHWATCH better I want to hear from the members, you have a voice here...this is not MY BLOG...IT'S OURS. So don't hesitate to let me know what I can do to make it BETTER.

Once an HYIP is added to the DEATHWATCH list and it expires it is considered a KILL. I will also be instituting a KILL AVERAGE(This average will determine the normal time frame in which an HYIP expires after being added to the DEATHWATCH list). This list will be beneficial in the sense that it will allow easy access to DEATHWATCH archives in regards to an HYIP's expiry.
